*** Recommended app for nurses by "Go Student Nurse" website! ***
A light and handy reference program for medical terms, abbreviations and prefix/suffixes. No data connection required.
Search two ways. By word or by definition. Add your own terms and they are fully searchable too. Updated to work better in iOS 4 and the iPhone 4.
The first time you start the program and click on the different button choices the program will pause as it loads up the database to your iPhone or iPod Touch. This will only happen on the first use. After the initial load you will experience zero delay in loading or searching for terms.
Continually being updated and developed. Dont waste your money with other apps that have less functionality, terms and cost more. If you want a term added just contact us through our website and well put it in a future update.
For a more feature rich program that includes flashcards and quizzes please view our other product "Medical Terminology Aid" in the iTunes app store. We also created "Medical Hangman" for a fun way to study medical terms.

Pros and cons of Quick Medical Terminology and Abbreviation Reference app for iPhone and iPad
Quick Medical Terminology and Abbreviation Reference app good for
Makes finding terms quite easy when studying. Thanks for a great app!
when i delete my old version it takes the update away so how am i suppose to install it again
This is great! I only wish you could also manually add missing terms and edit others. Otherwise very helpful!
This is one great app, I only wish it could run faster so while at my classes i can search quickly for abreviations! Other than that, perfect!
Runs quick and I have only had it crash once and I have had it a few weeks. Great reference during clinicals! The only thing I didnt find in here so far was a microbio term but it is not meant to be comprehensive. I especially get much value out of the abbreviations section.
I downloaded others and they dont have half the stuff as this does!! Was thrown in a hospital for fieldwork and never learned half of anything in school so now I have my own pocket dictionary to aid me in evals!
Some bad moments
nice search function, but yielded no results on first 5 words I needed.
Ive gone to using a Wikipedia app for free.
Extraordinarily limited information. Websters dictionary has better definitions than the four or five words you get here.
More than half the tems in the first chapters of my class werent even in their dictionary. What a waste!
This app is horrible!! It doesnt have any of the apps that Ive looked up. Common sense high school anatomy terms arent in here this app is worthless.
First word I look up... Extremities... And its not there!!!!
I guess you get what you pay for, but yet Wiki Tap (free and is way more helpful) had no problem.... I wanted a term app!!!! FML! Dont buy it and just us wiki tap or google or anything with a search engine >=[
Crashing after searching and selecting. Pretty frustrating, please fix. Other than that software is pretty helpful.
